So today I had a bit of an epiphany. I noticed that two of my paintings, Shady Grove and Maelstrom, have similar looking characters in them. Sure they are pretty much just figures in red cloaks, but they do have a bit of story. I want to elaborate on this world a bit more.I did some sketches to give myself a better idea of what those characters look like. I also have some ideas what might be lurking around in the environments they are in (monsters, spirits, otherworldly creatures, etc.)The naked girls are definitely evil and are an embodiment of something, not sure what yet though. The robed figures will probably serve as protagonists of some sort.I’m gonna keep playing around with these ideas. It could be kind of cool to have an entire show that tells a story just through illustrations.I think I’ll take each character here and do some different designs for them(perhaps more clothing) as well as push the renderings a bit further.
